CIT’S AEROSPACE JOURNEY: RAPID PROGRESS FUELED BY PRECISION AND INNOVATION

Over the past five years, Contract Industrial Tooling (CIT) has made tremendous strides in the aerospace sector. From our early projects to securing large-scale government contracts, our growth has been fueled by a deep commitment to precision and innovation. One of our first major aerospace projects was in support of Pratt & Whitney F-135, where we manufactured complex aluminum containers. These containers had to meet stringent pressure requirements, requiring us to pass an extensive battery of tests.

This experience laid the groundwork for our expertise in handling complex aerospace projects. Since then, CIT has won eight contracts with the US Navy, each presenting unique challenges with different configurations and extrusion profile requirements. To remain competitive and meet these challenges, we’ve made significant investments in new technologies and materials, allowing us to cut down on lead times and deliver high-quality results.

Justus Lucas, our Aerospace Program Manager, explains that “Sound processes, diligence, and exacting standards, combined with clear and prompt customer communication are major parts of our success formula.”

This commitment to precision is embedded in our work culture, with inspections at every stage of production. Each product undergoes a final, thorough inspection before it leaves our facility, ensuring that it meets the highest standards of quality and accuracy. CIT’s journey from a single aerospace project to handling complex military contracts highlights our dedication to excellence.

As we continue to grow and innovate, we remain focused on delivering precision-engineered solutions that meet the demands of the challenging aerospace industry.
